Lot 102: Vintage Pop-Up Children's Books Collection - The Clock Book, Storyland, Gulliver in Lilliput

Description

A collection of three vintage children's pop-up books. The set includes "The Clock Book," a puppet pop-up book with illustrations by Tadasu Izawa and Shigemi Hijikata, published by Grosset Zokeisha International in 1974. Also featured are two Hallmark Pop-Up Books: "The Storyland Pop-Up Book," which retells Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Tortoise and the Hare, and The Three Little Pigs, with text by Dean Walley and illustrations by Arlene Noel; and "Gulliver In Lilliput," written by Edward Cunningham and illustrated by Michael R. Hague, adapted from Jonathan Swift's classic. Both Hallmark books were published in 1980 by Hallmark Children's Editions. These books feature intricate pop-up designs bringing classic stories to life.

Condition Report

All books show visible wear to covers, edges, and spines consistent with age and use. "The Clock Book" has a small tear on the upper right corner of the front cover and wear to corners. Minor creasing and fading are present on the covers of the Hallmark books. Pop-up mechanisms appear to be largely intact but pages show general handling wear.
