Lot 066: Grosvenor 'Delphic' Silver Plated Fruit Forks Set in Original Case

Description

A vintage set of eight silver-plated fruit forks in the 'Delphic' pattern by Grosvenor. The forks are housed in their original presentation case, which features a maroon-coloured, textured exterior resembling leather or faux leather, with brass-toned clasps. The interior of the case is lined with a contrasting white satin-like material on the lid and red velvet-like material on the base, designed with slots to securely hold each fork.

Condition Report

The silver-plated forks show significant tarnishing, scratches, and some wear to the plating consistent with age and use. The presentation case exhibits wear, scuffs, and some loss of surface material/finish, particularly on the edges and corners of the lid. The interior lining shows signs of compression and minor discoloration.
