Description

An assorted collection of six vintage hardcover cloth books,. -'THE GOLDEN BOOKS OF ENGLISH VERSE BOOK II' arranged by Frank Jones and published by Blackie and Son Limited. -'ELEMENT OF ANIMAL BIOLOGY' by Dakin -'THE COMPLETE WORKS OF SHAKESPEARE' -'Our Great Harvest' by John G. Winant. -The Harp of Youth -Another book mentions 'MARIA MONK' and the date 'New York, January 11, 1836'. One of the books contains an inserted newspaper clipping detailing a 'US Church abuse scandal' dated 16-7-2007. The books feature varied cover colours including orange, blue, and shades of red, with some showing gilt lettering on the spines.

Condition Report

General wear and tear consistent with age and use is visible across all books, including fading, scuffs, and discolouration to the covers and spines. The edges and corners are bumped and rubbed. Some pages appear discoloured or foxed, particularly noticeable in the older volumes. The newspaper clipping is inserted loose and may have caused some discolouration or indentation to the pages it rests on. The spine of the 'Golden Books of English Verse' shows creasing and wear.
