Description

A diverse collection of African-themed decorative items featuring a variety of materials and styles. The lot includes two tall carved wooden giraffes with dark and light wood patterning, several smaller carved dark wooden animals including elephants, rhinos, and antelopes/gazelles. One larger, solid dark carved wooden elephant is also present. Additionally, the collection features two decorative carved wooden plates with intricate carved inlays, a carved bust in the style of Nefertiti, and a quantity of small carved picks.

Condition Report

Chips and losses are present on some carved elements, including a broken horn on one of the antelope figurines and a shortened tusk on one of the smaller elephants and rhino. Many of the darker wooden items show wear and scuffing to the finish, revealing the lighter wood underneath. There are minor chips and wear consistent with age and use on some of the smaller pieces.
