A varied collection of vintage timepieces featuring two travel alarm clocks and two pocket watches. The first travel clock, by Westclox, is housed in a red and gold-toned folding case, revealing a cream dial with Arabic numerals and gold hands. The second travel clock, branded Swarua, also features a red and gold-toned folding case, with a silver-toned dial displaying Arabic numerals. The collection includes two pocket watches with a silver cases in various states of disrepair: 1) James William Benson 1896 (London), silver hallmarked case, a white dial with Roman numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial, and is marked "J.W. Benson London". 2) A WWI-Era Swiss/British-Import Silver Open-Face Pocket Watch for the Ottoman Market. In need of repair. Dial: Striking white enamel dial tailored exclusively for the Ottoman Empire market. Features a prominent gold-gilt cursive brand name written in Ottoman Turkish (Arabic-Perso) script and a matching gold-gilt Star and Crescent motif. The hour configuration and sub-second dial are styled with crisp, black Eastern Arabic numerals. Spearhead-shaped hands. Note localized chipping/enamel loss to the bottom edge near the 5 to 7 o'clock positions. Case Purity Marks: The inner case contains a rare combination of multi-national stamps documenting its wartime transit routes. Stamped "ARGENT" inside a shield at the Swiss manufacturing facility, alongside a continental "13 under a Crown" punch mark and a standalone "83" stamp representing 13-Loth / .830 standard silver purity used for transit and regional customs trade. Import Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked by the London Assay Office with official British Import Stamps. Includes the Lion Passant purity guarantee, and the stylized capital date letter "U".
