An antique hardcover edition of "The Book of Psalms", translated from the original Hebrew and revised by His Majesty's special command. Printed in London in 1855 by George E. Eyre and William Spottiswoode for The British and Foreign Bible Society, which was instituted in London in 1804. The binding appears to be leather or a similar material, with gilt lettering on the front cover. This volume represents a significant piece of religious publishing history from the mid-19th century.
Condition Report
Heavy wear, scuffing, and discolouration to the covers, particularly along the edges and corners. The spine shows significant wear. Internal endpapers and some preliminary pages exhibit notable staining, foxing, and watermarks.
