Description

A collection of assorted vintage decorative items, including a dark blue ceramic vase with a metallic floral pattern, a Satsuma-style ginger jar with a lid adorned with detailed hand-painted birds and chrysanthemums, marked "SATSUMA JAPAN" on the base, a ceramic figurine of two penguins standing on an icy base (made in Japan), and a pair of mid-century style wooden salt and pepper shakers with ceramic tops, marked 'S' and 'P' respectively, also made in Japan.

Condition Report

The Satsuma ginger jar exhibits crazing throughout, consistent with its age and style, and minor wear to the gilt on the finial of the lid. The wooden salt and pepper shakers show general surface wear and some discolouration/residue on the ceramic tops.
