VIII (Sil-Z), feature highly decorative embossed covers in maroon with gold lettering, showcasing detailed engravings and scientific illustrations. The second pair of books are two volumes of 'The Book of Electrical Installations' by Rankin Kennedy C.E., presenting in teal-green covers with intricate black and gold art nouveau-style illustrations of early electrical machinery and lighting. These books offer a glimpse into the scientific and industrial knowledge of a bygone era.
Condition Report
The books show wear consistent with their age, including scuffing, fading, and shelf-wear to the covers and spines. Corners are bumped and some edges are frayed. The internal pages exhibit foxing, toning, and some discolouration, but appear largely intact with illustrations in good order for their age. Bindings are generally sturdy.
